My name is Aesha, and I’m the founder of Tone and Strengthen Wellness. As a former professional athlete and current wellness advocate, I know the unique challenges that face busy office workers. I was inspired to write this book because posture is such a fundamental part of having an optimally functioning body, and most people don’t even notice it. Better posture can be life changing.
Did you know that 80% of the American workforce will suffer back pain in their life and younger people are at a greater risk of it? I was among that 80% when I had a deskbound job as an IT specialist. I wanted to know the root cause of my lower back pain and fix it, so I started digging deep into the anatomy of the body and its relationship to work habits. I realized it was all connected to my hunched-over posture. I’ve come a long way from my painful days by adopting micro habits. I wrote this book because I wanted to help others live a pain-free and empowered life.
